T-shirt quilts can be made with as few shirts as 12 (or 6 backs and fronts) to as many as 30 (for a pretty big quilt!) What makes my quilts unique is that I custom size all the squares on the quilt so there is not a lot of "negative space." Some t-shirt quilt makers have a standard size for each square, but I will tailor the quilt blocks to fit your shirts.
If you are interested in having a t-shirt quilt made, the first thing you should do is round up the shirts you want to use. Then determine what parts of the shirts you want to use - fronts, back, or fronts and backs.
Memory picture quilts can be made from any number of pictures (depending on the size of quilt you want). They can be emailed as files or I can use real pictures whilch I will give back after they are scanned.
You would also need to decide on what color borders and backing you would like. Many people choose to use the colors of their school if they are having a college or high school quilt made.
As part of the cost, I provide all the materials and labor. I will email you pictures throughout the process to ensure customer satisfaction. I will make quilts for people out of state - if you ship it to me, I will ship it back after the quilt is finished.
Costs:
Crib size $150
Twin - Full $250
Queen $275
King $300
I ask for a $100 deposit initally. The balance is due upon completion.
Quilts generally take around 4-6 weeks for completion, but can be done more quickly if there is a rush.
All quilts are machine washable in cold water and should be dried on a low setting or air dried. I would recommend as little washing as possible to extend the life of the quilts.
